First, the filters were delivered to the warehouse weeks ago, waiting for the right time to deliver. On Wednesday, three TerraCare workers prepared for delivery to Phoneton. Located far from the main road, Phoneton is located across a river that can only be accessed by a small boat ferry crossing. Pui, the team manager, organized the delivery, starting with loading the filters from the warehouse to the truck.

From there, Nith and Phoneseng drove filters to the river and with the help of villagers, loaded them onto the ferry. From the ferry, the filters were loaded onto a tok-tok and carried to the village.

Finally, the 35 families gathered to learn about their new filters. Training includes instruction on setup and maintenance. Now 35 families in Phoneton Village have clean water! Thank you, TerraCare team!!!

]]> TerraClear Sales Update in 2019 https://tcp.preview.laowater.com/terraclear-sales-update/ Thu, 16 May 2019 06:44:22 +0000 http://www.terraclear.org/?p=439 Since TerraClear Production hired its first sales team in May 2016, the team has held over 1,245 village sales meetings in Champasak, Sekong, Attapeu and Salavan provinces. Through these sales meetings around 20,000 filters have been sold during this time period and over 100,000 people now have safe drinking water as a result.

Each dot represents a sales meeting where between 1 (least) and 56 (most) filters were sold.

This is in addition to the many years of sales work done by TerraClear Development in the central and northern regions of the country since 2010, selling approximately 40,000 filters and reaching over 200,000 people with safe drinking water!

Over the past year, TerraClear has been expanding its sales representative program in southern Laos. There are now 7 full time employees working in Champasak and Sekong provinces. These representatives are focused on a geographic region and each is responsible for sales, service, and collections in around 40 villages.

Each color represents the villages in a single representative’s area.

TerraClear also has many ongoing partnerships with iNGOs working in Laos, reaching remote villages, schools, and economically underdeveloped areas with clean drinking water.

In total TerraClear has produced and sold over 60,000 filters since its founding in 2010.
